Information We Collect

ScribbleCam is designed with your privacy in mind. We collect minimal information necessary to provide our services:

• Photos: When you use ScribbleCam, you select photos from your device's Photo Library using the system PhotosPicker. These photos are sent to a third-party image generation service solely to apply an artistic drawing-style effect to the entire image. We do not access your camera, and we do not use ARKit, the Vision framework, or any facial recognition or detection technology.
• Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage statistics such as which features are used most often, app performance data, and crash reports to help us improve the app.
• Device Information: Basic device information such as device model, operating system version, and app version may be collected for compatibility and troubleshooting purposes.

No Face Data Collection

ScribbleCam does not collect, store, analyze, or process face data in any form. Specifically:

• We do not use facial recognition or facial detection technology.
• We do not detect, analyze, map, or extract facial features from your photos.
• We do not collect biometric data of any kind.
• The app does not use the device camera, ARKit, or the Vision framework.
• Photos selected by the user are sent to a third-party service for artistic image-to-image style transformation only. The entire image is processed as a whole; no individual facial features are identified or isolated.

How We Use Your Photos

Your photos are important to us, and we treat them with care:

• Photos you select from your Photo Library are sent to fal.ai, a third-party image generation service, solely to apply the artistic drawing-style effect you choose.
• Our server acts only as a secure proxy between the app and fal.ai. We do not retain the original photo on our server.
• Photos are processed by fal.ai in real-time and are not stored permanently by fal.ai or by us after processing is complete.
• Processed (transformed) images are returned to your device and saved only when you choose to save them.
• We do not use your photos for advertising, machine learning training, or any purpose other than delivering the artistic effect you requested.

Third-Party Services

ScribbleCam uses the following third-party services:

• Apple App Store: For app distribution and in-app purchases. Apple's privacy policy applies to transactions made through the App Store.
• fal.ai: We use fal.ai for image-to-image artistic style transformation. When you apply an effect, your selected photo is sent securely to fal.ai for processing. fal.ai processes the image in real-time and does not retain the photo after the transformed result is generated. No facial recognition or biometric analysis is performed by fal.ai on behalf of ScribbleCam.
• Analytics Services: We may use anonymized analytics to understand app usage patterns and improve performance.

Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information:

• All data transmissions are encrypted using industry-standard protocols.
• We do not maintain databases of user photos or personal images.
• Our server acts as a proxy and does not store or retain your original photos.
• Any temporary processing data is automatically deleted after the artistic effect is generated and delivered to your device.
• We regularly review our data practices to ensure compliance with current privacy standards.

Data Retention

We retain minimal data and for the shortest time necessary:

• Photos submitted for processing are not retained by our server or by fal.ai after the artistic effect is delivered.
• No face data or biometric data is collected or retained at any point.
• Anonymous usage statistics may be retained to analyze trends and improve the app.
• You can delete the app at any time, which removes all locally stored data.

Children's Privacy
